Golf. People had talked to me about it. They had even encouraged me to take it up. I had no interest. Therefore, I politely declined each time. Recently, out of the blue, someone offered to teach me to play. I considered providing my default ‘no’ response, but thought ‘What have I got to lose?” So, I gave it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed it.

I believe that as time passes, we tend to get comfortable with our ‘routines’. I realized that, every now and then, it’s a good idea to try something new. Who knows? We may just like it. I know I did with golf.
