A wise friend once told me “first give, then receive”.

Sometimes, we set high expectations for ourselves to receive.  When the expectations are not met, we become disappointed, maybe even frustrated.

I have found what is more effective, than expecting to receive, is to give unconditionally.  Then, doors appear to open, even those that we did not think possible.
