Nature’s gifts

We got a pretty good amount of snow recently.  It’s interesting to see the differences in the way that kids and adults view snow.  Kids seem to get excited about it, as they enjoy sledding, building snowmen, etc …  Sometimes we, adults, tend to view it differently … perhaps as an inconvenience, e.g. can’t get to my destination, shoveling driveways, etc …  I found myself initially in this place.

However, after seeing the snow in a different light, I realized it was a gift.  It made me slow down, get some exercise while shoveling our driveway, talking with neighbors, witnessing our kids enjoying themselves in the snow and warming up while sitting by the fireplace indoors.

Therefore, sometimes, things that initially seem as inconveniences, are perhaps gifts in disguise.

Have a great week.
