Sometimes we want things to happen at the drop of a hat, right?  Sometimes, we tend to be impatient and expect results in a very short period of time.  The truth is that some things have a dependency on people.  People need time, need to be listened to, respected, …  So, as much as I want to, it’s probably not very realistic of me to expect that my relationships with people or even opportunities (which often times happen to involve people) will develop over night.  Instead, I need to recognize that it takes time.  Therefore, I need to be patient.  A relationship, just like a plant, may need to be initiated by planting a seed and maintained by nurturing it.
